It’s official Hamburger Disco fam – I’m chubby.  And that’s why I’ve enlisted into Slice’s Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp.   For those not in the know, The Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp is a Canadian reality TV show where they take husky hopefuls, like yours truly, and whip them into shape for 4 weeks.  The photo above was from earlier this morning.  It was the first day of shooting and I can honestly say it was one of the craziest workouts of my life.   I’ll be training for the whole  month of August.   Will I pull it off?  I’m not sure – What I am sure about though is that you’ll be seeing your favourite Hamburger Disco tees on TV!  Stay Tuned.

So Mattias and I are open about being Lost fans (not really a Lostie, but we really like the show.  A “Lostie” is like Trekkies for Star Trek) ever since the first season.  We spent a whole summer catching up through 2 seasons so it comes as no surprise that this weekend was indeed a sad but satisfying weekend.

If you’ve been living under a rock, one of the greatest shows to ever grace our television sets ended on Sunday with a 2.5 hour special series finale.  I’m not gonna get into details of the episode nor am I going to discuss the episode (what the hell, weak ending.  None of my questions were answered…) either.

Jimmy Kimmel is a big Lostie and he shows it by inviting the cast numerous times as guests on his show to discuss what was going on in that season, so you’d expect it from him to make a Lost recap with the cast to send off the show.  It was a really good episode that showed just how close the cast of Lost got over 6 years of filming together.  One of the best parts of the show was when he played “alternate” endings starring the Lost cast and it’s writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

We’ll miss you Lost, you were good times well spent.

Its that time of year again, the time for everyone to play merciless tricks on unsuspecting people and not feel bad about it! Here’s what we came up with from all of the tricks played online…

What do you do when you’re a teenage popstar and a mainstay on Twitter’s trending topics? Buy comedy site Funny Or Die, rename it “Bieber or Die,” and proclaim that “anything that’s not Bieber, dies” in a video that shows the singer might actually be somewhat self-aware of the absurdity of his popularity. Funny or Die is taking the joke all the way though, completely redesigning its site for the prank. Justin Bieber recently has been garnering a lot of attention and Aziz Ansari recently poked fun at his new song on the site

I logged into YouTube today and I think this is one of their best tricks to date.  YouTube has gone old school today by announcing TEXTp, a text-only mode for the service. From their blog: “By replacing the images in the video with a series of letters and numbers, the videos are far less taxing on our system — and have the added benefit of promoting literacy!”

Google has always been known for going extreme on April Fool’s Day (just check out what they did with YouTube). “Early last month the mayor of Topeka, Kansas stunned the world by announcing that his city was changing its name to Google. We’ve been wondering ever since how best to honor that moving gesture. Today we are pleased to announce that as of 1AM (Central Daylight Time) April 1st, Google has officially changed our name to Topeka.”

When you first log onto deviantART you don’t really notice much change,  unless of course you start looking at all the user avatars and notice that its taken a turn for the worse.  Twilight and Lady Gaga avatars have replaced all the user avatars on the site. <3 <3 Team Jacob!

This is pretty wicked. The whole gang looks pretty happy. I kind of wish they gave Sly some sort of intro gag or something. Matt Garrison never looked better – he actually looks cooler today than he did back then. Jake Summers on the other hand…

It sounds like the new drama thriller sequel that stars Angelina Jolie and Denzel Washington but it’s not all that scary at all…

The Hand Collector Project started in 2005 and showcases different artwork using the human hand as a medium.  Why Hands? ” on feet is harder” says the collector.  Based out of Italy, the hand collector has already been able to compile works from known artists around the world in his V.I.P. (Very Important Palms) gallery.

Matt and I visited Portobello West on the weekend to check out some cool stuff.  Portobello West is a new monthly market for Vancouver’s burgeoning fashion designers, jewelers and artists to showcase their designs.  While looking through the stalls we met the authors of this cool little yellow book. Morna Gregory and Sian James have a traveled life, so they decided to take pictures of all the toilets from the many places they’ve visited and compiled them all into this book.

Check out this urinal from Montreal, Quebec.  You may wonder what’s so special about this one, it’s actually a female urinal.  See the attachment? yep, you guessed it!  They even included an instructional “how to” sketch in their book.  Matt ended up buying the book and getting a signed copy because he’s always wanted to compile pictures of toilets he’s seen from his travels.  It’s definitely an interesting read.
