That’s right HD fam – not one, but TWO parties tonight. First up, is a tee release party! We were really lucky to be selected to be a part of a t-shirt show tonight. Tees.ca in Gastown is hosting the “Vancouver 125″ t-shirt show. A handful of some of Vancouver’s best artists (and us) are releasing a batch of new tees inspired by Vancouver. We took our inspiration from the crazy number of “All You Can Eat” places in Vancouver. Here’s our design:

Canuck Fever

The city erupted on Tuesday night when the Vancouver Canucks won Game 5 vs the San Jose Sharks in double overtime to make it to the Stanley Cup finals for the third time in franchise history. We hit the streets that night to party with what seemed like the entire city. It was like the Olympics all over again. Check out the recap by our friends at Vancity Buzz. Oh what a night.

It’s true HD Fam – Hamburger Disco has been chosen as one of the first businesses for the Rize pop-up retail space!

We’re thrilled to be the first company to set up shop in this space and we’re working really hard right now building the store of our dreams. We don’t want to give away anything just yet, but if you grew up in the 80′s and 90′s like we did, we’re sure you’ll feel right at home at the store.

The Red Carpet @ the Massey Theatre this Friday!

Hamburger Disco is proud to be a sponsor for The Red Carpet – A dance production by Student Dance Union. Dance crews from SFU, UBC, and Douglas have all collaborated to put on this one-night-only production at the Massey Theatre. From what we saw, it looks pretty legit. A mix of Alice in Wonderland, TRON, The Matrix… and more! Hamburger Disco will be on location pushing our wares at the back – come by and say hi

After hours at the Hamburger Disco office is Street Fighter IV time. And while Jay and Rumell beat me regularly, I still love the game. Check out this wicked fanart by Captainosaka. Yoshi Dissected

Jason Freeny is at it again. First he dissected Mario, and now he’s done everyone’s favourite egg-thrower, Yoshi. For those of you who haven’t seen Jason’s work before, you have to check out his site. He takes vinyl toys, cuts them open, and gives everyone a peek at our most loved characters’ innards. While this Yoshi is amazing, my favourite by far is his Stay Puft creation. Who know Marshmallow monsters had so many bones?
