If you were anything like us growing up, then you know California Dreams was the coolest band ever. Give it up to Jimmy Fallon for continuing to bring our childhood memories back to life.
This is pretty wicked. The whole gang looks pretty happy. I kind of wish they gave Sly some sort of intro gag or something. Matt Garrison never looked better – he actually looks cooler today than he did back then. Jake Summers on the other hand…

We’re very honoured to be featured (4 times btw) in Hideyourarms.com’s “200 Food Tees” feature. Here’s hoping next time all 200 tees are Hamburger Disco’s.

January had a bunch of awesome releases. Here my top 3:
1) Vampire Weekend – Contra
Vampire Weekend’s 2008 s/t debut will always be one of my favourite albums of all time -so I may be a bit biased. That being said, Contra is a masterpiece and could quite possibly be the best album of the year. It’s an amazing sophomore effort that really cements Vampire Weekend as one of the better acts of our generation.
Favourite Tracks:
1) Giving Up the Gun
2) Horchata
3) Diplomat’s Son
2) Aziz Ansari – Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening
I’ve been a big fan of Aziz Ansari since his work on Human Giant – his comedic timing, his facial reactions – the way he can make his eyes look so oblivious… he’s just an outstanding comic. When Judd Apatow’s “Funny People” came out, Aziz wrote himself a character named RAAAAAAAANDY, and that’s when I knew he was destined for big things. Look for him to blow up even more in 2010
Favourite Jokes:
1) Harassing Harris on Facebook
2) Kanye West vs. Darwish
3) RAAAAAAAANDY
3) Motion City Soundtrack – My Dinosaur Life
BOOM! Double points: A new Motion City Soundtrack album AND artwork by Joe Ledbetter?! Thank you. While My Dinosaur Life isn’t my favourite MCS record, it’s just cool to see these guys grow and get their major label release. It’s not as exciting, in my opinion, as their last records, but hey, I grew up listening to these guys so I’m stickin by them.
Favourite Tracks:
1) A Lifeless Ordinary (Need a Little Help)
2) Pulp Fiction
3) Stand Too Close

I don’t think I’ve been this excited about an 8″ Dunny since the Flying Fortress release about 2 years ago. I haven’t been too crazy about a lot of the recent releases, but French artist Skwak has just reignited my interest in the whole scene. This new Dunny looks amazing! Limited to 500, make sure you’re in line at your local urban vinyl store when these drop on Feb. 18th.

Andrew Bell’s line of Oh-No-Sushi now has a green release for all you sushi lovers! This toy sold out in minutes in its initial release, and why wouldn’t it? This is probably one of the coolest toys to ever come about in the Japanese food department.
These guys are limited to 125 pieces so try and get your hands on them fast!

So Rumell is looking for a new TV to put in his pad (business has been good =P) and we were drawn towards the 1080P units with 120Hz technology. Not too sure if many of you are tech geeks but TV’s with 120Hz give the picture realistic motion and make it seem as if you were watching it on a camcorder instead of on film.
