Hamburger Disco Presents…Battle of the Bands
Hamburger Disco has teamed up with Youth in 57 Minutes (Y57) in its Second Annual Battle of the Bands Competition!
Youth in 57 Minutes (Y57) is inviting youth bands with members between 15 and 25 years of age to participate in its Second Annual Battle of the Bands Competition, as part of a fundraiser for Vancouver’s Coop Radio (102.7 FM).
The winning band will be awarded highly coveted radio and print publicity sponsored by Youth in 57 Minutes and the Modline Magazine. This event gives up-and-coming artists a platform to gain a larger fan base, performance experience, and helps support one of the only youth oriented media programs in Vancouver.
The winning group will receive:
- One Y57 show devoted to the band that includes a live on-air interview with members and live performance segments dispersed throughout 57 minutes of broadcast time.
- Feature article online at TheModline.com that includes photograph spread, interview, biography, and further contact information.
Who: Youth in 57 Minutes on CFRO Co-op Radio, 102.7FM
Where: Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street (Corner of Main and East 15th Avenue)
When: Thursday, August 26th, 2010, 7:00PM – 11:00PM Description: Music professionals and city officials, with the help of the public through an applause meter voting system, will help determine who will be this year’s Battle of the Bands winner. The winning band will be announced at the end of the event.
Tickets: Tickets are available online for $10 and through any Y57 producer with 100% of proceeds going to the volunteer-run Y57 show.
